My journey to becoming self employed has been eventful, exciting and continues to be interesting, as I help businesses expand and develop.  

A quick story:  While in beautiful London, Canada, my sights were to become a published writer.  I was accepted as a feature writer with the prestigious Western Ontario Business News.  Each month I would share my thoughts on various aspects of promoting business and developing successful advertising strategies that would prove economical.  If you would like a published copy, just drop me a line.

While on this journey, I  implemented a workshop to introduce small business to various government funding resources available, in partnership with the local library.  It was during this time that I met a brillant graphic artist whose only mistake was to earn a very good living from only two major clients.  (IBM & Northern Life)  In less than three months, both clients moved their head office out of the city, and he was left with just a few small projects to finish up.  His mistake would require the lay off of loyal staff, and the need to hire a sales crew to bring in new revenue.  I became his lead salesperson. 

My past corporate experience would suite me well  as, I welcomed the new challenge.  In short order, was able to attract and negotiate contracts with the London Transit System, KayserRoth, Little Caesar's Pizza, Stihl, plus a number of others as regular clients of creative design and printing. One design project alone, was billed out at over $26,000.00 - paid in full and up front. (in the 1980's)
